I’m SO excited to finally share something very close to my heart: three brand new embroidery kits, created in collaboration with the incredibly talented Lisa from For The Love of Yarn. These kits each bring together her stunning hand-dyed threads and my designs, blending two creative passions – yarn and embroidery – into one beautiful project.
Lisa has been an amazing collaborator and friend, and I truly can't even begin to express how grateful I am to her for making these kits possible. Without her, I wouldn’t have had the resources or finances to bring these ideas to life, and her belief in me and my work has meant the absolute world. Collaborating with her has been a true reflection of what these kits are all about: celebrating community, creativity, and connection.
Each of these kits has its own unique story and personality, but they all share a common theme: the joy of making and the beauty of community.
1. Shauney the Sheep
Inspired by Lisa’s adorable sheep logo and her hand-dyed threads, Shauney the Sheep is a whimsical project where Shauney wears a cosy, colourful knitted jumper made from a ball of yarn. This kit is beginner-friendly, fun, and perfect for anyone looking to relax with a creative project. You get to choose your own color palette for Shauney’s jumper from Lisa’s hand-dyed thread collection. Whether you love vibrant rainbows or more subtle hues, this kit is bursting with personality and joy. This is a perfect kit for someone who has never tried embroidery before, especially if they are also a knitting fan!
2. Find Your Flock
Find Your Flock is a design that means so much to both Lisa and me. This hoop features six sheep, each with a unique, colourful coat, symbolising your chosen family, your friends, or your very own “flock.” This piece celebrates the joy of finding your people—the ones who love you for exactly who you are.
Lisa and I are both passionate about inclusivity, whether it’s supporting Pride, neurodivergence, or just celebrating the quirks that make each of us unique. We designed this kit as a reflection of that passion. You can choose between two versions:
• Fun: A bright, playful mix of Lisa’s stunning hand-dyed colours.
• Pride: A meaningful set of skeins inspired by Pride flags, including Rainbow, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Asexual, and Non-Binary.
To make this project even more special, Find Your Flock includes a heat-erase pen so you can draw custom facial expressions on the sheep. It’s a chance to reflect the personalities of your own “flock,” and every finished hoop is as unique as the people it represents.
Giving Back
We’re proud to donate 10% of sales from the Pride kits to The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organisation for LGBTQ+ young people.
3. Enough Yarn/Thread Is Not a Thing
This lettering piece is for every fibre lover who knows there’s no such thing as too much yarn or too much thread. Inspired by a beautiful mural in Lisa’s studio, painted by our talented friend Moss, we created two versions of this kit:
• Enough Yarn Is Not a Thing for yarn enthusiasts.
• Enough Thread Is Not a Thing for embroidery lovers.
With Lisa’s gorgeous hand-dyed thread and playful lettering, this kit is a fun reminder for you (and your loved ones) that stashes aren’t hoarded—they’re curated!
Why This Collaboration Matters
For me, these kits are more than just embroidery projects. They’re a celebration of community, collaboration, and finding the people who lift you up. Lisa’s generosity and talent brought these kits to life in ways I never could have managed alone, and I’m endlessly grateful to her for believing in me and my work.
It’s been such a joy to combine our passions – her love for yarn and hand-dyed fibres, and my love for embroidery and design – into kits that we hope bring joy, creativity, and connection to your life.
